How LookoTV handles device, network, and playback data.

1. Scope and Controller

  • Screen or playback capability information needed to render video correctly.

2.2 Local network and connection data

  • Device names, TV names, connection attempts, pairing codes, tokens, and timestamps.
  • Technical information needed to keep the browser sender and TV app in sync.

2.3 Content and playback data

  • Video URLs, stream links, playlist links, or direct links you choose to send.
  • Source metadata such as title, duration, format, subtitle availability, or poster image if provided by the source.
  • Playback events such as play, pause, stop, reconnect, buffering, errors, and the last selected receiver device.

2.4 Diagnostics and security data

  • Crash reports, error logs, performance metrics, and service health information.
  • Security and abuse-prevention events, including repeated failed connections or malformed requests.
  • Standard server or web request logs when you access browser-based parts of the Service.

2.5 Information you provide directly

  • Your name, email address, support message, attachments, and any data you include when you contact us.
  • Any optional feedback, bug reports, or other correspondence you choose to submit.

2.6 Data we do not need for core streaming features

LookoTV’s core browser-to-TV streaming flow is not designed to require contacts, SMS, precise location, microphone recordings, photo library access, or camera data, except where you separately provide data to us in a support context or if a future feature explicitly asks for it.

3. How We Use Data

  • To discover compatible devices and connect your browser sender to your TV.
  • To deliver video playback, manage playlists, and maintain session continuity.
  • To diagnose errors, improve stability, reduce latency, and optimize HD playback.
  • To protect the Service against abuse, misuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • To respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with users who contact us.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms or policies.

4. Local Processing and Off-Device Processing

LookoTV is designed around local-network streaming. Where possible, device discovery, pairing, and playback coordination are processed locally between your browser and TV on the same network.

However, limited technical data may still be processed outside the device environment for service operation, diagnostics, updates, infrastructure support, abuse prevention, or customer support.

5. How We Share Data

We do not sell personal information.

We may share limited information in the following cases:

  • With hosting, infrastructure, crash-reporting, or support providers acting on our behalf.
  • With professional advisers, auditors, or legal counsel where necessary.
