Republic of Korea Privacy Notice

Additional privacy notice for users in the Republic of Korea (KR).

Last updated: May 11, 2026. This notice supplements the global LookoTV Privacy Policy and applies where the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea (“PIPA”) applies. If this notice conflicts with the global policy, this KR notice controls for users in Korea.

2. Personal Information Items, Purpose, and Retention

LookoTV is designed for browser-to-TV streaming over a local network. Depending on the device and feature used, we may process the following items of personal information or device-related information.

LookoTV is not designed to collect Korean resident registration numbers, passport numbers, contact lists, precise location, microphone recordings, photo library contents, or biometric data for its core streaming functionality.

3. Provision to Third Parties and Entrustment

We do not sell personal information and we do not provide personal information to third parties for their independent marketing use.

We may entrust limited processing to service providers that host infrastructure, process technical diagnostics, or help us respond to support requests. Those providers must process personal information only within the scope of our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.

If we provide personal information to third parties or designate processors in a way that requires separate disclosure or consent under PIPA, we will provide the required notice and obtain consent where applicable.

4. Overseas Transfer

Depending on where our production infrastructure or support systems are located, some personal information may be stored or processed outside Korea. If an overseas transfer requires separate notice or consent under Korean law, we will provide the legally required details, including recipient, destination country, items transferred, purpose, retention period, and means of refusal or contact.

5. Destruction Procedure and Method

When the retention period expires or the purpose of processing has been achieved, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the relevant personal information without undue delay unless continued retention is required by law.

  • Electronic records are deleted using measures designed to prevent recovery or restoration.
  • Paper records, if any, are shredded or otherwise securely destroyed.

We maintain reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, log management, service monitoring, and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed by the Service.

7. Rights of Data Subjects in Korea

Subject to applicable law, users in Korea may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information. Where applicable, you may also withdraw consent and request review or explanation of certain automated processing decisions.

8. Children Under 14

Where processing of a child’s personal information requires consent under Korean law, we will obtain consent from the child’s legal representative and verify that consent as required by law.

If we need to verify parental consent, we may collect the minimum information necessary for that purpose, such as the legal representative’s name and contact information.

Notices intended for children under 14 will be presented in clear and easy-to-understand language, as required by Korean law.
